So I was a little bored tonight.
By that I mean I spent the whole day working and doing school work, as well as studying for an exam tomorrow. Decided to go to the bar with a few other ChemE friends, and before I went to bed I’d thought I would do what any car guy would do when a bit drunk, and spec the most useless BMW.
335i Gran Turismo (didn’t know this was a thing) with M-sport and every add on you could think of. Something like $64k
Goodnight.

It’s literally just a lowered X4. Which is just a jacked up 3 series that looks like an X6, which is a lowered X5 that looks the the 6 series Gran Coupé, which is a less practical but better looking 5 series, which is one of the few remaining normal cars in BMW’s lineup. Whew, that was a mouthful.

I get that you’re joking, but... The 3GT has a lot more cargo space and leg room than a regular 3-series or 4-series. They’re really very practical

Every one here is thinking “...just not as practical as a 5 series wagon in brown with a manual would be.”
I do worry that BMW has lost the magic/plot with some of their new cars. C&D just wrote what amounts to a bad review for their long-term M3. They feel like just “running out the clock on a disappointing season”.

That's an impressive explanation for a decidedly confusing product line. Well done.

My dad has got one. Definitely not my style, but he can get all of his golf shit in there without a problem. It’s based on the Chinese 3 series (so it’s slightly longer), and there is a ton of rear legroom. All of those things are important to old people.
Other than that it’s got plenty of juice and it’s the first BMW I have ever driven that is really “Lexus” smooth.

My bad. Thought it was a 4GC.

The 4GC is pretty practical as well, actually. Not the best on headroom, though.
